I'm very happy to commend this ministry. I believe this is something God has raised up for our day and time. There's been a spirit of renewal as a result of these retreats.
I sense today amidst all the pressures, a need for getting away, getting before the Lord in a quiet time. Leadership Renewal Center provides that in a very special way. It is unique. I believe it stands alone but very, very necessary for today. I'm very happy to commend this ministry. I believe this is something God has raised up for our day and time. I know He has met many in this very quiet, sensitive way as the Spirit of God ministers to tired hearts and minds and wearied bodies. There's been a spirit of renewal as a result of these retreats.

Being a pastor can (and should) be a rewarding calling–but few pursuits in life are as challenging. The pressures on ministers and their families are enormous. Virtually everyone will need a breather at some point to take stock, hear God’s voice, and re-focus on what’s most important. Dr. Ted and Linda Pampeyan have a great love for the clergy, and they have been amazingly successful in assisting pastors and their spouses through difficult situations. Leadership Renewal Center offers a peaceful retreat environment that allows clergy couples to revitalize their relationships and return to their calling with a renewed perspective and energy.”
Rev. H.B. London, Jr.
Ministers today are literally giving their lives for the sheep, and yet often they are hurting. Often they have tremendous needs in their lives to which no one seems to be responding. Ted and Linda Pampeyan minister to pastors and their wives where they are, with the love of Jesus Christ, with tenderness and grace. They give them the opportunity to be refreshed and renewed by the Lord Himself. Leadership Renewal Center is a necessary ministry. There is no greater need that I know of in the lives of pastors and their wives today than to be renewed. I highly recommend Ted and Linda, and the ministry of Leadership Renewal Center to you.

The need is so tremendous today to see pastors get alone with their wives, and put their lives together. That's what Ted and Linda are seeking to do, and I stand with them and thank God for them.

One of the great impressions I have of Ted is his tremendous burden for the well being of pastors. From my earliest association with him I sensed this burning heart for the walking wounded in the ministry. The special emphasis on spiritual renewal is what distinguishes Leadership Renewal Center from many of the other programs I know of that are ministering to the needs of ministers. The particular emphasis that Ted and Linda give on the spiritual dimension is crucial to that renewal process. So I strongly commend this work. It is much, much needed.

Dinner on the Deck What a perfect way to start a sabbatical! Your gifts of hospitality, shepherding and care along with your ministry philosophy/vision of renewal and rest allows for such a nice environment to contemplate, dream and envision what the Lord wants to do in our lives and ministry. Your ability to create significant conversation with ease really ministered to us. Your willingness to give as much time as needed shows your servant leadership. We truly think of Philippians 2 when we think of you. And of course, Linda, your cooking was supreme! God bless you both and may the Lord expand your ministry.

The name of your center represents your mission well–the rest and renewal of weary Christian leaders. It has been a long time since we have been able to sit and talk deeply for hours on end. You gave us that gift of listening. It was as if we were able to pick up the living stones of our lives (1Peter 2) and gaze at them from many angles. The result–a deeper appreciation regarding the way God is leading and shaping. Renewal was not just about talking though. It was about walking on a sandy beach, looking through a picture window at a cloud covered ocean, taking an hour for prayer, enjoying great food together, and a hundred other cherished memories. We leave feeling that God has met us and assures us of His care and guidance. This has been the heart of my sabbatical.

To come so far, to see so much, to feel so welcome, and to yearn for more…this is the taste and touch of abundant life that we have been unable to recognize lately! Thank you for your gifts of service and your offerings of love-in-action lived out in words, attitudes and sensitivity. (The pure-hearted laughter we shared was so needed.) It is so rare for us to find a couple that has “gone before” us in the ways that you have–and I appreciate so much your open home and open hearts…and strong words this week. Thank you for being such awesome vessels of blessing…reminding me to look again with heart-eyes. (Ephesians 1.18-19)
You kept saying, “God is going to meet you here; we don’t know how but we’ll just let Him work.” Well, He did. You have given us permission to enjoy life again and dare to believe that God might just want to fill our hearts’ desire and give us joy after all. Imagine…. You’ve been our Revendell. Thanks.

The Leadership retreat came at just the right time in our lives. We were under the gun and it seemed like our family life, our ministry life, were all crises for us. We just came to the place where we felt like we needed to do something for ourselves. At the retreat we were able to spend quiet time together as a couple, with God, and with some people who genuinely wanted to serve us and care for us during those few days together. I appreciated the care that was given to us by Ted and Linda, and how they served us. Without pushing or making us feel that we had to talk to them, they very gently sat and listened. We didn't feel like we were being judged, but we felt like we were able to unload a burden.

As a ministry wife, it was really fun for me to be in a setting that gave me the opportunity to have my husband's undivided attention, something that's rare because of the pressures of ministry and the needs. We were able to nurture each other, so that we could regain our perspective on what God was calling us to do at our church and to unify our purpose together for our ministry. There was no pressure or no schedule that was demanding on us. In fact, it kind of surprised us, we were overwhelmed at the opportunity to rest. It was a real time of rest, refreshment, and to get our perspective back, so that we could come back into ministry and to be a lot more effective.

God has used you two to speak into our lives, and only the months and years ahead will reveal all the difference it will make in our lives and for the Kingdom. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts.
One year later:
One year ago we spent four days at the Leadership Renewal Center with Ted and Linda. We shared deeply with them in a life changing discernment process which resulted in a career change. Linda and Ted gave us spiritually sensitive direction and counsel. In hindsight we feel we made a wise choice to enter into dialogue with them. It was life directive for us.

Nothing I’ve ever experienced exemplifies what a “retreat” can and should be, like our time with you. What a blessing and encouragement this has been. Your warm, hospitable, gracious and relaxed home and counsel have niched a place in our hearts that will definitely go with us. Thank you for your kindness, gentleness, empathy, insight and friendship.
At first I was expecting and thinking we needed structured "how to cope" step by step counsel. Yet through this week the deep introspection, pain, laughter, reminiscing and tears that I've experienced with you has helped me see my significance to our Lord, His sovereignty in our life and this particular situation. Thanks for loving us unconditionally, listening unjudgingly and giving encouragement as Ephesians 4.29. I have grown to love you, be vulnerable to you and realize you REALLY CARE. I could go on and on and on and on. But I leave you with this–I hope we can be half the encouragement to others as you have been to us.
Three years later:
As we reflect over the past few years and the healing “journey” we have taken, we are deeply grateful for the significant part the two of you have played. So many times along the way you think you’ve come “full circle” and are all healed, only to find you weren’t as “well” as you thought. And the only way you know that is by how much better you feel as more time elapses. Thanks for being there and using what God helped you with to help others. We love you!

Thank you so much for being the companions who have lifted me up! I thank God for you, for being threads in the cord alongside of me, holding me strong, keeping me from being broken, even giving me hope. I am grateful for your hospitality, your gift of counsel and your gifts of healing. Thanks, also, for the re-creation of God's creation!

It is a great treasure to be allowed to reflect on what God is doing in our lives and where He is leading. We have greatly appreciated your gentle guidance and friendly caring conversations. God has met us here and we are confident that the road ahead will be made plain and smoother in the days ahead for having been here. God bless the Leadership Renewal Center! I believe with all my heart that these five days mark a milestone in [our] lives.

You’ve named your ministry well–RENEWAL. We’ve been able to examine some things, and face what we’ve been reluctant to face. We’ve made some plans of actions and processed some potential options. Thank you for your help and the gentle nudge you’ve given to be proactive. Thank you for your calm and gentle trust that God is for us and therefore who can be against us. You’ve lived that conviction. God bless you both in this ministry.

The Father gave us an incredible gift when He led us to LRC. We will be forever grateful for how He used your ministry to impact our lives. Thank you for your warmth, hospitality, encouragement and wisdom. Thank you for listening with your hearts and gently directing us to a better walk with each other. Thank you for giving hope. And now we look forward to discovering those treasures the Lord has in store for all of us. Because He lives.

If it hadn't been for the ministry of Leadership Renewal Center, I honestly believe I would not be in pastoral ministry at this point of my life. When we went, we were in the midst of a very negative situation that had caused us to question whether we belonged in pastoral ministry, what the Lord really had for us and His will for our lives. I went very hesitantly to the retreat, because I was at a point of not trusting anyone.
The retreat was one of most positive experiences of my life. We had the opportunity to spend time alone with the Lord, and I could be alone with my wife. In a very clear and neutral setting we were able to reevaluate where we had come from and where we were going in our walk and service for the Lord. By the time the retreat was over, I had come to the settled conclusion that indeed the Lord had called me to ministry and had ministry for me, and I was determined to return back to my situation, though it was negative, to do all that the Lord would have me do.
Subsequent to that, the Lord has moved us to a new church ministry that is the most exciting and challenging of our lives. The time spent at the Leadership Renewal Center is the solid base upon which we have been able to enter this ministry with a positive confidence in the Lord and His work in an d through our lives.
It was through the Leadership Renewal Center that we were able to take the time to allow the Lord to heal physically, spiritually and emotionally.
